Getting Started at NH C+F
I’VE NEVER CLIMBED BEFORE, WHERE DO I START?
First, everyone needs to fill out the waiver!
We ask everyone who enters our facility to fill out a waiver, regardless of whether or not they actually plan on climbing. The waiver takes a few minutes to complete. Participants under 18 years of age will need their waivers to be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
Next, review the gym policies:

Finally, plan your visit!
No reservations are required, just check in at the desk to get your day pass! We’ll get you set up with rental gear, and give you a quick tour of the facility and a safety orientation before you begin bouldering or climbing our auto belays.
Bouldering: climbing shorter rock features above thick padding designed for falls. There is no need for harnesses to partake in this form of rock climbing. Although climbers don’t have to be certified to boulder, we require climbers under 14 to be directly supervised by an adult. We will give you a quick falling orientation to help get you acclimated on your first visit!
Auto Belays: a mechanical device that allows climbers to ascend a few of our tall walls without relying on a belay certified partner
If you see the possibility of more indoor or outdoor climbing in your future and would like to climb the tall walls without relying on our staff to assist, then we recommend enrolling in our Introduction to Climbing class. The class usually takes just over an hour, and will allow you to learn everything you need to know to start climbing on your own. After the class is finished, feel free to stay and climb for the rest of the day!
RENT-A-BELAYER
If you want to come in and climb our top rope walls without going through the process of getting certified, you can make a reservation for our Rent-a-Belayer program. Renting a belayer allows climbers to work with our dedicated staff in a friendly, intimidation free environment. Appointments are required, in advance, to ensure that staff are on hand to belay for you. Once you schedule your appointment, simply show up wearing athletic clothing and closed toed shoes to give indoor rock climbing a try and we’ll do the rest! This is a great option for kids who cannot belay themselves and do not have a belay certified adult to help. Click here to book, or send us an email concord@nhclimbinggym.com with any questions

I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CLIMBING AND BELAYING.
Guests who have experience with rock climbing must take a top rope belay test when they arrive if they plan on belaying in our facility. Once you pass the test, you are able to use all the top rope climbing stations in the facility. Guests wishing to lead climb and lead belay will need a separate lead test. You are required to first pass the top rope belay test and be proficient at climbing 5.9 or above before you are able to take a lead test.
